Dog Days of Spring

For the past 4 days the temperatures have hit the high 90's with humidity probably as high. What do you do during these days? You have baseball games at 1 in the afternoon and 5 in the late afternoon. You cut your grass at 8 in the morning, after you've been up since 3 creating a piece of art for a dear friend. You look at the dust and the dirt that has come to visit from the pollen and kids, who have been let out early, even if the school has air-conditioning, so they can spend the time in the pool. Being Eight loves the pool and never wants to come out. He got out of school yesterday and swam for a few hours. He got out of school today and stayed in there from 2 this afternoon, came out for a short break to just eat dinner, and back in again. Little Red came over for dinner and immediately headed to the pool. Being Eight found it real exciting to have his hands both front and back all shriveled and wrinkled, 'like old people's hands, what your hands will look like soon' is the phrase he used.

It's dark, it's almost 9 but they needed to go in just one more time after Z2 came back from the baseball game and they had to go home. So, if it's 10 o'clock and you want to know where your kids are. I can't help you, I only can only tell you where mine are, they're in the pool.
