Seeing how I never made the Christmas fairies of the grandkids I thought Easter greetings for them to have would be a good thing to do. The four I've made are from 4" cones which makes them quite mailable. The new ones I've started are with 7" cones and are being covered in paper and little glitter in comparrison to these...
Yesterday I had lunch with my friend Carol Mania who is a phenomenal weaver and artist. She brought me 'thread' cones in a few sizes which are going to make wonderful pop-up dolls for my girl classes at Fletcher Farm this summer. You can check out Carol's etsy store to see the wonderful creations she makes and Fletcher's site to view all the wonderful classes.
One of life's little pleasures is listening to audio books. 'Being Eight' has taken a liking to the Spiderwick Chronicles and when I went to buy them I found it cheaper to buy the cd's to listen to. I thought listening while drawing and playing was much healthier than the television noise and beside it's a great way for me to 'read' them.
Off for now.
