Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to reflect. Today as we sat around the table my 6yr old granddaughter stated it was time to say why we are thankful. As we sat there saying what we were grateful for Ian said he was grateful for me and Kevin. It's been 5 years since his motorcycle accident, 5 years since he has sat at our table and celebrated with us. There are many moments when his brain injury reverts him back to a childlike state but as he sat there today he was a man.

Today, I am thankful for the family and friends who have blessed my life, the food that blessed our table, the warm weather and most of all the gift of Ian.

Tomorrow, I will be thankful for not shopping on Black Friday.
